To do this we had to first achieve the “First Steps”, “Bronze HEYL Award” and complete “the 12 further areas of audit”:

Social and emotional health and wellbeing

Speech, language and communication

Healthy eating

Oral health

Independence in self-care and hygiene

Immunisation and infection control

Physical activity

Sustainability (active travel, recycling, energy saving)

Adult health and wellbeing; staff and practitioners can provide information for parents and carers about support available

Practitioners are able to identify early and plan for children’s additional physical, social, emotional and mental health needs, including working with parents, carers and partnership agencies

There are effective communication systems and working relationships with other professionals to support work with children and their families

Each practitioner is supported to maintain their own social, emotional, physical health and wellbeing
