Recent Activities

Here are some of the activities that the children have been able to take part in recently.

We made a CLOCK FACE using crayons, card and a split pin.  Teacher showed us “o’clock”

We matched the COINS to the money chart. When we had them all correct, for a bit of fun we fed them to “The Money Muncher” puppet

We helped Teacher make MASH from our Harvest potatoes

We INVESTIGATED – touched, tasted and smelt – the VEGETABLES from Harvest

We put the BIG bears on the BIG circle, the SMALL bears on the SMALL circle and the MEDIUM sized bears on the MEDIUM circle.

We weighed the dried pasta

We made a collage out of foam faces and craft materials

We sucked up water using a pipette, squeezed it into the water-wheel and made the paddles go round!

We coloured over the shapes, then helped Teacher fold and stick the card into a cube.  We rolled the dice and named the shape on top.

We are learning what numbers mean, rather than just counting.  So we put one sticky star under number 1, two under number 2 etc.

Our Theme this Half Term is MATHS.  We found a number in the sand and placed it on the number chart

We coloured in numbers and letters. We helped Teacher put them in order on the wall.

We planted a pansy to take home and give to someone as a present.

We made a person out of shapes.

We chose from GRAPEFRUIT, LEMON SLICES, DARK CHOCOLATE, SUGAR CUBES and TASTED them.

We liked some of them and pulled faces at others.

We printed a pattern with a HARD brick and a SOFT sponge

We played with the CORNFLOUR, STRETCHING and POURING it, feeling its TEXTURE

We put the plastic worms in LENGTH order

We tapped out the RHYTHM (syllables) in our names and other simple words.

We used SCISSORS to cut paper.

We made a SHAKER and shook it in time to the music.

We SEWED THE WOOL in and out of the holes.
