Good luck to everybody in their new schools!

We held SPORTS DAY.

We joined in all the races – running, jumping, egg and spoon, throwing a beanbag in a hoop, balancing the beanbag on our head, and the “potato” beanbag race.  Then we held races  for our mums, dads and younger siblings!

It’s cooler in here…..

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We made a fan to keep us cool…..Come On ENGLAND!!!

——————————————————————————————————————————–

Shall I roll the ball down the gutter into the water …….. or just jump in?!

——————————————————————————————————————————–

Once upon a time there were lots of little people….

——————————————————————————————————————————–

With our hats and our flags………COME ON ENGLAND!

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We mixed paint colours in a see-through bag.  We chose two colours, squidged them together and guessed the colour that would be made.

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We made a flag.  We coloured a piece of paper, folded it in half, added two straws for a stick and glued it all together.

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We made a sand picture.  We dripped runny glue onto paper and shook sand over it.

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We drew on shatter-proof perspex with a whiteboard marker.  It was fun as we could see all the way through it!

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We made a person out of shapes.

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We placed a ruler on a rolling pin to balance.  We tried out lots of items to see which were HEAVY (so touched the table) and which were LIGHTER (so stayed in the air).

——————————————————————————————————————————–

The Zumba lady came to teach us in PE

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We used the TAPE MEASURE to see how far apart we were.  We looked at the numbers.

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We put numbers 1 to 5 in the correct order

——————————————————————————————————————————–

Teacher asked us to put the plastic bear either NEXT TO, BEHIND, IN FRONT, ON TOP or INSIDE the box

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We played with compost in the garden

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We played a tune using our feet on the electronic organ.

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We counted lots of plastic bears into a group on the table.

We rolled the dice and separated that number of bears into a second group.

We counted both groups together and found out that the TOTAL NUMBER OF BEARS WAS STILL THE SAME!

——————————————————————————————————————————–

In PE we took it in turns to crawl through our team’s legs

——————————————————————————————————————————–

We played SKITTLES.

———————————————————————————————————————————

We chose from GRAPEFRUIT, LEMON SLICES, DARK CHOCOLATE, SUGAR CUBES and TASTED them.

We liked some of them and pulled faces at others.

———————————————————————————————————————————

We talked about HOT and COLD.

We put our fingers in warm water and then picked up ice cubes.

We poured the warm water on top of the ice to see what happened.  It melted!

———————————————————————————————————————————

We printed a pattern with a HARD brick and a SOFT sponge

———————————————————————————————————————————

We played with the CORNFLOUR, STRETCHING and POURING it, feeling its TEXTURE

———————————————————————————————————————————

We PAINTED a picture using BRUSHES and EASELS

———————————————————————————————————————————

We made the waterwheel SPIN and used the pipettes to SQUIRT water.

———————————————————————————————————————————

We drew inside the STENCILS

———————————————————————————————————————————

We put the plastic worms in LENGTH order

———————————————————————————————————————————

We tapped out the RHYTHM (syllables) in our names and other simple words.

We used SCISSORS to cut paper.

———————————————————————————————————————————

We made a SHAKER and shook it in time to the music.

———————————————————————————————————————————

We SEWED THE WOOL in and out of the holes.

———————————————————————————————————————————

We played “KIM’S GAME”.  Teacher had a tray with 9 items on.  We closed our eyes, she took one object away, and we had to guess what was missing!

We played with DOMINOES, counting the dots and matching them end-to-end
