Over the past years the Elm Park Baptist Church Playgroup has been given several major awards

HEYL
Healthy Early Years London -GOLD AWARD
To do this we had to first achieve the “First Steps”, “Bronze and Silver HEYL Awards” and complete “the 12 further areas of audit”:
- Social and emotional health and wellbeing
- Speech, language and communication
- Healthy eating
- Oral health
- Independence in self-care and hygiene
- Immunisation and infection control
- Physical activity
- Sustainability (active travel, recycling, energy saving)
- Adult health and wellbeing; staff and practitioners can provide information for parents and carers about support available
- Practitioners are able to identify early and plan for children’s additional physical, social, emotional and mental health needs, including working with parents, carers and partnership agencies
- There are effective communication systems and working relationships with other professionals to support work with children and their families
- Each practitioner is supported to maintain their own social, emotional, physical health and wellbeing
